For some reason headhunters have a bad rep. We try to avoid paying their fees. We think they’re devious, pushy, and controlling. They go out of their way to avoid doing things in a “proper” manner. Worse, many of them even try to contact the hiring manager directly. On the other hand, maybe they have a point. Maybe, just maybe, your corporate recruiting processes are at fault, not the behavior of these TPRs (third-party recruiters), who try to shortcut them. Maybe being pushy, working directly with hiring managers and using clever techniques to find top people and get them hired is actually a good thing. In this “upsetting the apple cart” type of webcast, Lou Adler will demonstrate that TPRs – at least the good ones – know what they’re doing.
